Probably the most excited I’ve ever been about shows

Tonight, I’m doing 30 minutes at the Villanova Alumni Event, and tomorrow night I’ll be doing my first show in Boston.

I hope I don’t get the jokes mixed  up – “Man, don’t you hate it when you say someting like ‘go park the car’, and everyone says, ‘oh, what, did you go to Villanova?’”

Show added: Villanova Alumni Event 12/3

This weekend is already awesome enough, BUT…

The good folks over at the Villanova Alumni Association have asked me to do a set at the game watch tomorrow (Friday) night. So I’ll be going up at 8 pm, at The Village Lantern, then we can all head upstairs to the bar and watch Nova trounce St. Joe’s. I hope. No, seriously, I need Villanova to win this game… if I do a set and then they lose, everyone will remember what a terrible night it was when they saw Steve Cronin and then Nova lost to a big Philly rival. So let’s go Nova! For yourselves, and for my career!

And then on Saturday night I’ll be in Boston, at 8 pm, at West End Johnnie’s.  I can’t believe it, but this show has already sold out, so I’m psyched. See you guys at the show!

See you Saturday

So, tickets for the Boston show are gone, baby, gone. Thanks to everyone for their support!

And seriously, get ready for a great show. I got to see Colin Kane do a set last weekend, and he burned the place down. With the Celts out of town, it’ll be hard to find a better show in Boston this Saturday. See you then!

For this post, everything in caps means I’m being really, really sarcastic.

Hey guys! So, the Boston show is almost here.

I just bought my Bolt Bus ticket, and I’M REALLY EXCITED FOR THIS BUS RIDE. I BET IT WILL BE VERY COMFORTABLE, AND FILLED WITH NORMAL, NICE-SMELLING PEOPLE.

Definitely come check out the Boston show, and if you can’t make it, I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND, YOU SHOULD PROBABLY STAY IN AND WATCH LAW & ORDER: SVU OR SOMETHING.

This week, you can catch me at UCB on Tuesday night, on the 11 pm Convergence improv show. See you there!

Boston show: One week away

Alright guys, seriously, if you haven’t bought your tickets to my Boston show yet, do it now. The show’s only a week away, so pass it on to your co-workers, friends, dogs, whoever. If you’re reading this site then you’re probably already coming, so thanks!  But just as a reminder, it’s Saturday 12/4, 8 pm, at West End Johnnie’s. All the info, and tickets, are under the tab Boston show 12/4. So check it out!

In the meantime, I’ll be at the Village Lantern tonight (11/27) on the 9 pm and 11 pm shows.

PS – it’s freezing in New York! I can’t wait to get home to that nice, predictable Boston weather. See you next weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day everyone! This year, I’m thankful for Tom Brady remembering in the fourth quarter that he’s playing the freaking Lions, and he should start scoring touchdowns. Close one yesterday, yeesh!

Stand-up show in Boston

And as far as the Boston show, I’m completely amazed at how many people have bought tickets already. It’s this kind of support that really gets me through tough nights on stage. I can’t wait for 12/4, it’s gonna be an awesome show. I’ll see you guys there!

Shocking news from the comedy world

And by shocking, I mean very confusing. Dane Cook will be appearing on Broadway next year in Neil LaBute’s Fat Pig. That is not a Mad-Lib. Dane Cook, on Broadway, acting.

I want to cynical about this, mostly because Dane is such an easy target in the comedy world right now (a little played out, bad movies, etc.), but I just can’t. I think it’s great. I genuinely think it’s a great opportunity for a comedian to do a play. And the Playbill.com article says that Dane plays “an obnoxious friend.” Well, he’s played that role before in… everyday life, so maybe it’ll be a natural fit. If not, it’ll be a huge disaster, and will have that oh-that’s-a-bad-car-wreck-but-I-can’t-look-away feeling. Either way, exciting!

But seriously, this is very encouraging. It shows that comedians can show a ton of range and apply their humor, timing, and talent to other pieces of art. Nice work Dane, keep representing comedians from Greater Boston.
